internal error occured during "Requesting Java AST from selection"

Danny Y
Hi,

I'm running Eclipse Luna, with the Groovy Eclipse plugin 2.9.1-xx.20140811, with the 2.0 compiler.

For groovy files in a several of my projects, when I open and then click anywhere in the editor window,  I get this error repeated over and over (and I have to keep acknowledging the popup dialog):

eclipse.buildId=4.4.0.I20140606-1215

After I close all the popups, if I continue trying to edit, the popups start again.

This was happening with the milestone build as well, and I switch to the dev build on the off chance it had been fixed. :)

Let me know what I can provide to help you track this down.

Thanks!!

Re: internal error occured during "Requesting Java AST from selection"

Andy Clement
Looks like some recent changes made that improve 2.3 support have left us incompatible with groovy 2.0, from what I can see in the repository. Let me get someone on it.

cheers,
Andy
